Built on Craftsmanship. Driven by People.
Trusted for Generations.

Founded in 1968, Austin Metal has grown from a small family operation into a full-service metal fabrication and HVAC partner serving commercial and industrial projects across British Columbia. With decades of experience, advanced technology, and a skilled team at the core of everything we do, we deliver precision-built solutions our customers can rely on.

Our Story

Austin Metal Fabricators began as a small family operation in Burnaby, BC in 1968, staffed by just four dedicated team members and driven by a commitment to craftsmanship and customer service. Over the next five decades, that same commitment propelled the company forward—expanding capabilities, growing the team, and earning a strong reputation across BC’s construction, industrial, and commercial sectors.

By consistently investing in people, equipment, and process innovation, Austin Metal evolved from a modest sheet metal shop into a full-scale fabrication leader. Today, operating from our new facility in Maple Ridge, we employ a talented team of approximately 45 skilled professionals who bring precision, problem-solving, and pride to every project.

Our expertise spans HVAC fabrication and installation, custom stainless and aluminum work for the food service industry, industrial components, and specialized metal builds for both new construction and renovations. Equipped with advanced manufacturing technology—including computer-controlled plasma cutting, a 175-ton press brake, —we’re able to deliver high-volume accuracy while minimizing waste and improving cost efficiency.

Through every decade of growth, one thing has remained constant: our belief that quality comes from teamwork, hard work, and doing right by our customers. That philosophy has allowed Austin Metal to consistently perform well for our customers, on time and on budget.

Today, more than 50 years later, Austin Metal remains family-rooted, employee-driven, and dedicated to delivering reliable, top-quality metal fabrication that stands the test of time.

“My father was a sheet metal mechanic, I saw how the trade made him detail-oriented, and I saw the pride he felt in producing quality work. I carry this same attitude with me today, and I echo his thoughts that our industry is built on quality.”
